Mrs. Jessica Townsend - Math Interventionist - Forrest Elementary
I am the math interventionst at Forrest Elementary in Hampton, VA and have been since 2011.
A math interventionist is a teacher who does not have his/her own classroom. Instead, we are able to work with children in many different grades to help them better understand the math concepts that are difficult for them.
Before I was at Forrest, I worked as a classroom teacher in grades 3-5 for six years in Newport News, VA
I am a 2005 graduate of Old Dominion University hold a Master's Degree in
Elementary Education (pre K-6th grade).
I am a National Board Certified Teacher.
I was also proud to represent Forrest Elementary as the 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year!
